A faux Roman shade is a stationary window treatment designed to look like a traditional Roman shade but without the lifting mechanism. It stays fixed in place, giving the appearance of a neatly folded shade while serving mainly as a decorative valance. This style is perfect when you want the tailored elegance of a Roman shade without the functionality.

Faux shades will have 3 pleats. If wanting more, please message me to discuss as it may require more fabric.

Here are some tips on what to look for and what to say away from when looking for fabrics for a roman shade: 

Appropriate: medium weight, drapery weight, 54” wide or wider, home décor

Inappropriate:  anything that says, “light weight,” “45” wide,” or “quilter’s cotton, silk
